     Khenemu-Ankh is an online retail store presently carrying Mama Kea brand shoes. Our name comes from a fusion of the Kemetic Deity Khenemu, Who is the Builder (or Fashioner) of humankind, and Ankh, the Kemetic symbol representing the union of Ausar with Auset to create the Life of Heru. Our mission at Khenemu-Ankh is to be an economic engine that helps with the holistic rebuilding of Afrikan life.

     Mama Kea shoes are lovingly and proudly hand crafted in South Afrika by Afrikans. Both the sandals and shoes are made of durable and easily-cleaned acrylic nylon. There are a wealth of styles and colors to choose from.  The shoes are packaged in a variety of beautiful bags woven with Afrikan-print fabric.

     These shoes are so comfortable you would think that you were barefooted. Once you sink your feet into the shoes, the acrylic nylon automatically molds to the shape of your feet. There is no need to “break them in”!

     Now, We have named most of the shoes after Afrikan concepts or various Afrikan historical giants who have had--and continue to have--a profound effect on Afrikan culture. We will include with your purchase a succinct sketch of the concept or historical figure for which the respective shoe is named.
